Life is Busy

February 6, 2016 by Heidi Olsen 2 Comments

Life is busy on the farm!

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

  • Loving and enjoying my family – God’s greatest gift to me! Family time is the best time.
  • Digging out of a HUGE snowstorm this week! We got over a foot in 24 hours! Thank God for snowblowers and a handy husband! Norm put a new engine in our snowblower last year and it runs like a dream!
  • I’ve been busy working on some posts that come from the heart. These posts definitely take longer to write, but I look forward to sharing more of my stories with you.
  • My truck has been acting up for weeks and finally got fixed! I’m almost in shock! So happy to have my wheels (and our family car) back on the road again! I have the best mechanic in the world! Here’s the full story on how we fixed my Ford on our shop’s blog.
  • February is big in our house because it’s the best time to pick up heart items! We’re headed to the fabric store to find some great heart fabric today!
  • Homeschooling our children – I love reading their books and learning what’s on my children’s hearts. I learn from my children so much, too!
  • Keeping up with our family auto repair shop and all of it’s social media – facebook, twitter, instagram, google+, youtube and our shop’s blog. We even added a new video to our shop’s youtube channel this week!
  • A trip to the library with my children now that my truck is up and running! We love the library!
  • We finished remodeling our family room bathroom! It’s beautiful! I love the feel of a freshly remodeled room! It gets more addicting the more we remodel our home.
  • Norm’s busy working on his A-Team van again! He’s going to have such a cool daddy hot rod! :) The whole family came to keep him company and have lunch with him at the shop today. Bonus, it gave me some time to write this post!
  • Keeping up with our wolf pack!

More posts coming soon! Happy February!

God’s Blessings & Love to you,
Mrs Olsen ❤️

Sounds like the funny farm to me. You set yourself up for that one. I said with a smile on my face and giggle in my heart. :-) Glad to hear your SUV is running again. We got 10 inches of snow out here and 4 foot drifts. We were snowed it for 2 days but those 2 days were pretty much like any other day so life goes on.

      Hi Julie,

We call it the funny farm, too, because we love to have fun! :) God is good! :) Glad to hear you guys dug yourself out of all of the snow. Hopefully, the snow will mostly melt with this warm weather we are having before we get more! :) Hope to see you and Al again soon. We miss you guys!

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
~ 1 Timothy 6:12

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
~ John 16:33

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
~ Isaiah 40:28-31

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
~ Romans 8:31
