Happy 2017 from The Olsen Family!! 🎉✨ We hope the new year is going awesome for you!! I apologize for being so quiet for so long. All is well with us. I’ve been in hibernation mode at home since Baby Nazareth arrived. My family has been bonding, celebrating birthdays and soaking up all of the love!! 💞 I’m thrilled to say that I’m back in the game now, just in time for the New Year! 🎉
Graci, Nehemiah and Merci have all had birthdays since Nazareth was born. Graci (our first December baby) turned 14 right after Nazareth was born on December 26th. Nehemiah turned 3 on January 9th. Merci turned Sweet 16 on January 14th! Oh, how I LOVE birthday season in my home!! Where does the time go? Can they please slow down, God? 🙂 I always thought I wanted all of my babies closer in age, but I am grateful that God’s plans are better than my own. I love that I’ve been having babies for the past 16 years. I love holding a sweet, new baby in my arms again. I love when my babies are snuggling with me. It’s the closest thing to heaven on this earth and I’m honored that God chose me as the mama for 5 children on earth and 1 in heaven!
Our family took Merci to a sushi restaurant for her Sweet 16 birthday!! It was our first outing as a family of 7!!! I absolutely LOVE saying that!! We had a great time and it was my first time nursing a baby at a sushi restaurant, too! Yes, I was the last to finish my meal. Luckily, everyone wanted to share with Mama because the portion sizes were huge! I wasn’t brave enough to try sushi this time, although Norm, Merci and Graci really enjoy sushi. I had an amazing steak teriyaki with veggies and a side of rice.
I took Merci and Graci shopping with Baby Nazareth afterwards for some mama-daughter time. We went to a department store and had fun girl time. Nazareth slept the whole time in my moby wrap and it was so much fun! I so enjoy laughing with my girls.
I love my babies, but really enjoy my children as they grow and discovering who God made them to be. My children are such blessings and healing to me. I don’t have many sweet memories with my mother because I lost her so young, so my goal is to create as many wonderful memories celebrating my family. Spending time with each other having fun is so important, no matter what it is or what we’re doing.
God is faithful and blessing me with the time to recover and get back to life one step at a time – including homeschooling, our family auto repair shop, my real estate business, and of course the blog. I’ve been focused on my family first and promise there’s many more baby photos and updates to come soon! Thank you for your loving on our family! 💗
I have a favor to ask, please keep my family in your prayers, including my continued healthy recovery. 🙏
Blessings for a wonderful New Year, friends! ✨
Love from all 7 of us!!! 💞
